VMware Fusion: Run Windows & Linux on a Mac

To install VMware
There are two ways to install Windows or Linux on a Mac using VMware Fusion.
- By using an installation disk, such as a Windows Vista CD or DVD
- Or by finding a "downloadable appliance" that is a pre-built installation package.
We recommend the downloadable appliance because it's pre-built.
To find a downloadable appliance
To find the appliance that you want:
- See catalog on http://vmware.com which has hundreds of appliances
- Or see http://linhost.info/vmware and look for appliances by name, e.g. "Ubuntu 8.04 Server"
If desired, use vmware tools as needed to get the two machines to interconnect.
