MMS: Multimedia Messaging Service

Many newer mobile phones can send and receive pictures and short videos using MMS, the Multimedia Message Service.

The most frequent use is taking a photo with your camera phone, then sending the photo to someone else.

The size and resolution of the multimedia depends on the phone and service; it is usually fairly small and fairly low resolution.
